Online Course on Gender Equality
March 5, 2021, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University for the Humanities and Development jointly conducted an Online Course on gender equality. The professors, instructors and students of both higher education establishments participated in the said course. The class was held in Turkmen and English.
During the course the speakers mentioned that gender equality is one of the priority areas in Turkmenistan and the country is actively pursuing its gender policy. The issues of women’s labor rights and the active gender policy promoting their equal participation in the socio-political, socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres of life as well as the international conventions and programs which Turkmenistan acceded to and the current national legislation in this field were also highlighted.
At the end of the course the participants expressed their gratitude to esteemed Arkadag for his tremendous efforts aimed at gender mainstreaming and strengthening the international reputation of our Motherland.
