The International Conference titled “Independence of Turkmenistan: Experience and Prospects for the Development of International Cooperation”
On September 22, 2023, at the Institute of International Relations of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held the International Conference
“Independence of Turkmenistan: Experience and prospects for the development of
international cooperation” on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the
Independence of Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister
of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Chairman of the Mejlis of
Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan
Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive
Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze, UN Coordinator in
Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, UNDP Resident Representative in
Turkmenistan, Ms. Narine Sahakyan, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat John
MacGregor, President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Allaberdy
Ashirov, Representative of the World Health Organization Egor Zaytsev, Rector of
the International University for Humanities and Development Esen Aydogdyev,
Head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan Mohammad Fayyazi, Executive
Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Tatyana Molchan,
Regional Director of the UN Development Coordination Office (UNDCO) for
Europe and Central Asia Ms. Gwi-Yeop Son, as well as professors and students of
the institute attended to important event.
During the conference, key topics were discussed such as large-scale
transformations carried out under the wise leadership of the esteemed President of
Turkmenistan, aimed at the progressive socio-economic progress of the country,
steps taken to further improve financial, tax, monetary and investment policies,
labor relations, the importance digitalization and innovation to achieve sustainable
development, as well as other relevant aspects of the country’s foreign policy.
At the end of the International Conference , the participants expressed their
deep gratitude to the National Leader of the country, Hero-Arkadag, as well as the
esteemed President, Arkadag Serdar for their undertakings being carried out and
congratulated the entire Turkmen people on the 32nd anniversary of the glorious
Independence of Turkmenistan.
