The French language week at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
From March 14 to 20, 2024, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held the French language week «Le printemps est arrivé dans mon pays», which was organized by the scientific club «Lingvo World» of World Languages Department on the occasion of the International French language day.
In the framework of the French language week, students organized exhibition of wall newspapers. They also performed creative reading on themes Spring holiday and Great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy’s creativity translated into French language. Participants gave presentations about specific topics. Answering the general knowledge questions were one of the highlight part of the activities of French language week. Competitors were given several questions related to the history, policy, literature and art of France. Moreover there were questions about sports, French grammar, orthography, logic and geography. At the end of the competition members of jury announced the winners and congratulated them.
The main event of the week was the qualifying stage of the «Francophonie - 2024» competition. «Francophonie» is an annual competition for learners of French, which is organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of French Republic to Turkmenistan and French Institute. The competition «Francophonie» is a great opportunity for French learners to improve their language skills, get to know more about France and check their abilities.
At the end of the week participants expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, esteemed President and organizers of competition for creating such opportunities.
