Turkmen-Pakistani Energy Cooperation
On December 26, 2022, a training course on "Energy Diplomacy" was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the participation Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Movlamov Atadjan Nurlyevich, as well as students of the Institute. The lecture was focused on priority areas of energy cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov noted that the fuel and energy sector is one of the important areas of relations between Turkmenistan and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and emphasized that bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this field is constantly increasing. In particular, it was noted that several large energy projects are being implemented between the two countries, as well as the TOPH gas pipeline. The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline has given new impetus to regional cooperationIn particular, it was noted that several large energy projects are being implemented between the two countries. The experienced diplomat talked about the friendly relations between the two countries based on the principles of mutual respect, and also appreciated the early development of political and diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the impressive course, the students addressed the Ambassador with questions related to relations between two countries, especially to the energy diplomacy of the countries, and received comprehensive answers to them.
