Energy Diplomacy: Lecture on Turkmen-Afghan Cooperation
On December 27, 2022, an effective lecture on energy diplomacy was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the participation of the Consul of Turkmenistan in Herat, Afghanistan, Gochmyradov Aymyrat Bayrammyradovich, and the students of the institute. This lecture was devoted to the energy cooperation between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Priority areas of cooperation were discussed.
Consul Aymyrat Gochmyradov emphasized that the energy sector is one of the important areas of relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, and stressed that bilateral and multilateral cooperation in this field is constantly increasing. In particular, it was noted that several large energy projects and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline are being implemented between the countries. The experienced diplomat talked about the friendly relations between the two countries based on the principles of mutual respect, and also highly appreciated the early development of political and diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
During the lecture, the students asked questions related to Turkmen-Afghan relations, energy diplomacy of the country, thus widening their knowledge.
