A LECTURE ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL-LEGAL AND ECONOMIC FOUNDATIONS OF ENERGY DIPLOMACY
A lecture on the theme “Organizational-Legal and Economic Foundations of Energy Diplomacy” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The session was conducted by Serdar Allamyradov, the head of the Department of Economy of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, and was attended by students of the Institute.
The lecturer provided a detailed overview of the legal and economic foundations of Turkmenistan’s energy diplomacy, highlighting the country’s legislative framework in the energy sector and ongoing efforts to modernize it in accordance with international standards. Emphasis was placed on the importance of energy security and legal mechanisms that ensure stable and mutually beneficial international cooperation, including Turkmenistan’s engagement with key global and regional energy agreements.
Special attention was devoted to the Energy Charter Treaty and the legal regulation of energy cooperation within the European Union, offering students comparative insights into global energy governance. The lecture fostered a lively exchange of views, further enriching the academic environment and supporting the Institute’s mission to prepare highly qualified specialists for the field of international relations.
