Conference dedicated to environmental diplomacy
On June 4, 2022, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held a conference on the topic “Environmental diplomacy and ways to develop cooperation in accordance with new environmental standards”. Representatives of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, representatives of public organizations, as well as teachers and students of our institute took part in the conference, which was held on the eve of World Environment Day.
The moderator of the conference was Perhat Charyev, lecturer of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Khalimberdi Hajiyev, member of the Milli Gengesh Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan for regional development, environmental protection and agro-industrial policy, Gurbangeldy Ashirov, Member of the Committee for Environmental Protection, Nature Management and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Ogulgurban Ezimova, senior lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Arapkhan Erniyazov, Director of the Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan for Akhal Velayat, Berdimyrat Roziev, coordinator of trade unions of agricultural workers of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, Gurbanmyrat Mukhammedov, Chief Specialist of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, as well as Matgurban Matgurbanov, the student of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan delivered their speeches at the meeting. The speakers noted that the environmental diplomacy of our country, initiated by the Hero Arkadag and found a worthy continuation under the leadership of our esteemed President, is glorified on a global and regional scale, environmental initiatives promoted by Turkmenistan find support in the international arena. In their speeches, the participants emphasized that the President pays great attention to the development of environmental cooperation with international organizations, which in turn will have a positive impact on the environmental well-being of the region. The speakers thanked the President for the invaluable work in turning our Motherland into a blooming garden, creating favorable conditions for the happy life of its citizens, and preserving the rich diversity of Turkmen nature.
