EFFECTIVE TRAINING SEMINAR “OUR LAND –OUR FUTURE”
On June 5, 2024, on the occasion of World Environment Day, a training seminar entitled “Our land –our future” was held by Ch. Bayriyeva, the senior instructor of the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The instructor spoke in detail about the environment in the world, the importance of the world environment and how humans affect and save the environment, as well as the role of environment in international relations and environmental diplomacy. During the seminar, students made presentations and spoke about the ongoing work on nature conservation in the world and in Turkmenistan.
As is known that World Environment Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of June and aims at raising awareness and celebrating environmental action, with a focus this year on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. This date was established by the UN General Assembly in 1972. Since then it has been widely used in all UN Member States and organizations.
It should be noted that our state is currently implementing programme activities to ensure environmental well-being in the country, successful implementation of the tasks set out in the National Climate Change Strategy and the National Forest Programme and perseveration of our beautiful nature.
At the end of the training seminar, the students asked the questions to share and exchange ideas on the topic under discussion and the training seminar was of great importance and enhanced the effectiveness of this training seminar.
