CONSECUTIVE TRAINING SESSIONS ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS HAVE BEEN HELD AT A HIGH ORGANISATIONAL LEVEL
Consecutive training sessions on Sustainable Development Goals have been held at the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in accordance with the agreed program for the 2023-2024 academic year in cooperation with the United Nations Office in Ashgabat. The 1st round of training sessions held on February 5, 2024 for the representatives of the higher education establishments of Turkmenistan located in Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, the 2nd round for the representatives of the public organizations and the cultural sphere of Turkmenistan, the 3rd round on June 27, 2024 on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the city of Arkadag, which is a world model city, with the participation of representatives of mass media of our country.
During the training sessions, the representatives of the United Nations Office in Ashgabat delivered speeches on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the great work being done in our country under the wise leadership of our highly respected President, the goals and objectives of the United Nations, the sustainable development of cities and settlements and others. In addition, speakers highlighted the importance of city of Arkadag, which is a world model city of "smart" and "green" technologies, the role of a reliable and stable energy system in ensuring sustainable development, the importance of international initiatives and efforts of Turkmenistan in achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The participants in the training sessions were awarded with the relevant certificates.
