Engaging in Sustainable Energy with the UNDP
On June 4, 2024, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) delivered a lecture to students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan at the UN House in Turkmenistan.
The lecture focused on the theme "The Role of a Reliable and Sustainable Energy System in Ensuring Sustainable Development: International Initiatives and the Experience of Turkmenistan."
At the commencement of the seminar, Atamuhamed Saryev, a UNDP project specialist specializing in energy efficiency matters, provided an overview of the United Nations conventions and Turkmenistan's proactive involvement in this domain.
Moreover, Atamuhamed Saryev gave a thorough explanation of reliable and sustainable energy, carbon dioxide emissions, and the greenhouse effect, underscoring their profound impact on human existence.
At the end of the seminar culminated in a knowledge assessment, where students demonstrated their comprehension of the discussed topics through a quiz. Correct responses were rewarded with prizes.
