ARABIC LANGUAGE DAY CELEBRATED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF LANGUAGE WEEK
On April 22, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn event dedicated to the exquisite beauty and ancient history of the Arabic language as part of the language week titled «Languages– A Bouquet of Friendship.»
Organized by the Department of World Languages, the ceremony featured heartfelt greetings from students and profound reflections on the Arabic language as an «Ocean of Wisdom and Beauty».During the speeches, it was emphasized that Arabic is one of the world's oldest languages, widely spread throughout history and holding a prominent place in international relations, culture, and science.
Students enthusiastically recited philosophical poems in Arabic about how science and knowledge serve as an inexhaustible light illuminating human life. Furthermore, motivational phrases and proverbs shared in Arabic, English, Russian, and Turkmen-focusing on patience, hard work, and self-confidence-served as a spiritual bridge uniting human hearts.
The cultural program included impressive presentations detailing the unique traditions and ancient history of the Arab world, accompanied by soul-stirring songs. At the conclusion of the event, an engaging quiz was held, which further enhanced the students' knowledge of the geography, national attire, and distinctive customs of Arabic-speaking countries.
Ultimately, these evocative moments not only improved the language proficiency of future diplomats but also significantly contributed to the celebration of friendship and cultural relations among the people of the world.
