Celebrating the International Day of Neutrality: A Presentation Competition at the Institute of International Relations was held
On December 24, within the framework of “Lingvo World” a presentation competition dedicated to our Permanent Neutrality was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
A competition dedicated to the concept of Permanent Neutrality, aimed at engaging students in discussions about its role in global politics. The event provided a platform for students to explore the historical, ethical, and practical aspects of neutrality in international relations.
The competition consisted of three steps: I) delivering a presentation, II) describing an emblem created by the students and III) solving a quiz.
Participants from diverse academic backgrounds delivered presentations on a range of topics, such as the neutral countries like Switzerland, Austria and Turkmenistan, the challenges of maintaining neutrality in modern geopolitics, and the role of diplomacy in supporting neutral states. The competition encouraged innovative thinking, with students offering new perspectives on how neutral countries can contribute to global peace and cooperation. Students enrolled in different language courses were invited to participate in the presentation competition, with each participant tasked with preparing a speech or presentation on the topic of neutrality.
During the competition, participants answered questions related to the foreign policy of neutrality and the foreign languages taught at our institute.
According to the results of the competition, the Faculty of International Relations won the first place, the Faculty of International Economic Relations won the second place, and the Faculty of International Law and International Journalism won the third place.
Organization of competitions plays an important role in education of future specialists in the field of diplomacy and international relations.
