Discussion on the Agenda of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly
On September 24, 2025, a discussion was held on the agenda of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly at the Scientific-Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The discussion was attended by the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms. Elena Butova, as well as students from the institute.
During the discussion, the international political significance of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly was particularly emphasized. In her speech, the guest explained the structure of the UN and the global impact of the speeches delivered by Heads of State in this forum on peace and security issues.
Special attention was given to the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the UN. It was noted that Turkmenistan’s international initiatives and the Resolutions it submits to the General Assembly agenda receive broad support from the global community.
The guest also emphasized the special importance of the speech delivered by the President of Turkmenistan at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and recommended watching it in full.
