MEETING DEDICATED TO TURKMEN-JAPANESE COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION
On January 15, 2026, a meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Hiroshi Sasaki, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan, and G.Yusupova, the Rector of the Institute. The meeting aimed to discuss future prospects for Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the field of education.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to issues of exchanging experience between Japanese higher education institutions and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, organizing joint scientific conferences, and expanding academic exchange programs for students. In his speech, the Ambassador Hiroshi Sasaki noted that the Japanese side is highly interested in using innovative methods for training diplomatic personnel in Turkmenistan and in strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the relations in the field of science and education between the two friendly nations would continue to develop further.
