Turkmen-Uzbek meeting dedicated to the legacy of the great personality
An online briefing was held today, February 17, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan dedicated to the 538th anniversary of great historical figure, poet-philosopher and eminent statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babir.
Representatives of the diplomatic missions of the two countries, heads of higher education institutions, professors and students, representatives of the media attended the meeting, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rectors of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the briefing. As they noted, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, a prominent figure in Eastern literature, is a person who has made a significant contribution to world literature. Its heritage consists of 119 gazelles, 200 rubais and other works. Turkmen poets and statesmen have left a historic mark on the state of the Great Moguls, founded by great person Bayram Khan and his son Abdurahym. Babur’s life and work are widely studied in many countries outside Uzbekistan.
According to the rector of the Institute of International Relations, the cultural and historical heritage of the two countries, which has had a huge impact on world history, now plays an important role in the development of good-neighborly relations between the two friendly peoples.
Speakers at the briefing stressed their readiness for the further development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
