“Bayram Khan Turkmen is a prominent poet, civil servant and diplomat ”
One of the great historical figures who left a worthy mark on the history of the Turkmen people and its diplomacy was the Turkmen commander, famous poet and diplomat Muhammad Bayram Khan Turkmen, who received the title of khan of khans. Highly respected President of Turkmenistan notes that “The unity of poetry and philosophical wisdom, the thousand glorious views on humanity and promotion of human dignity are one of the main features of the poet's creativity. The literary heritage of Bayram Khan, who entered treasury of universal poetry as a glorification of humanity, friendship, goodness and beauty, is our pride".
Bayram Khan, who made his personal contribution to the founding of the Great Mughal Empire and its transformation into a powerful medieval state, went down in history as a great diplomat who did great work for establishment of peace between India and the states of the Middle East, for prevention of wars and for the sake of mutual understanding. These principles are also important in the complex geopolitical context of the 21st century. Bayram Khan, with his diplomatic skills, made a worthy contribution to the formation of noble principles of preventive diplomacy.
With the aim of studying heritage of famous diplomats, civil servants who have contributed to formation of the great humanitarian principles laid at the heart of modern international relations and fostering respect for diplomatic heritage of our ancestors in specialists trained in the field of international relations Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announces competition entitled “Bayram Khan Turkmen is a prominent poet, civil servant and diplomat” among students of the higher educational establishments, masters and graduate students, including young teachers.
I. General Provisions
This document determines the purpose, objectives and procedures for conducting the competition.
The main purpose of the competition:
Promoting understanding and raising awareness about Bayram Khan's way of life and creativity;
Expanding international scientific and cultural relations;
Studying resemblance of the Turkic-speaking peoples, their religion, language, their glorious history who have carefully preserved their unique cultural and spiritual values inherited from their ancestors, as well as common ethnic, spiritual, and historical roots the Turkic-speaking peoples living in different parts of the world, whose close relations contribute to enrichment of the cultures of the world;
In-depth studying of the life of real Turkmen diplomat, who left indelible mark in the history of mankind, having excelled in many fields of science how highly respected not only by domestic, but also by foreign specialists and finding their original work written in their native languages,
studying and motivating young generation for becoming highly qualified specialists;
Bringing up young generation that will promote prestige of the country, being committed to the principles inherited from our ancestors;
Popularizing exemplary methods of preventive diplomacy used by Bayram Khan, who laid bridge of friendship directed at strengthening mutual relations of the peoples and cultures that lived in the structure of the great empire with his valuable works written in Turkish, Persian, Indian and Urdu languages.
II. The rules of the competition:
This competition is open to students studying in higher education establishments of our country, including masters students, young teachers under the age of 30, graduate students, researchers. They can participate with previously unpublished scientific articles of their own or written in co-authorship in Turkmen, Russian and English languages.
Those wishing to participate in the competition should submit their scientific papers by February 1st, 2022 to email hgi.hgddek@gmail.com.
Articles must be between 5-10 pages, written in Times new roman style, with 1.5 intervals, in font 14.
Scientific papers must be written in the following areas:
1. Bayram Khan Turkmen - famous poet, philosopher.
2. Bayram Khan Turkmen – civil servant and diplomat.
All information about the competition will be posted on the website of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs www.iirmfa.edu.tm.
The winners of the competition will be determined by the decision of the experts chosen by the organizing team;
3 winning places will be determined for each category and the winners will be awarded with a certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan;
The winners’ scientific papers will be offered for publication at the scientific and practical magazine of the Foreign Ministry “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan”;
The winners of the competition (I, II, III places) will be awarded at the ceremony to be held on February 18, 2022, on the occasion of the Day of diplomatic workers of Turkmenistan.
