The priority is to promote a culture of peaceful dialogue
As it known, on May 23, 2024 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the international competition "International Relations: A Culture of Peaceful Dialogue", organized jointly by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was launched. More than 250 participants from higher educational institutions of the countries of Central Asia and the Caspian region, the Republic of Türkiye, the People's Republic of China and Turkmenistan registered for the international competition. More precisely, about 40 masters and students of 11 prestigious higher educational institutions from 9 foreign countries, as well as students of 22 universities of Turkmenistan, took part in the competition.
The opening ceremony of the international competition began with a celebratory concert, prepared together with the musical and creative groups of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. Songs in the Turkmen and languages of the participating countries, which were played at the opening ceremony, became a clear example of a call for friendship and peace.
The organizing group of the international competition also created all the necessary conditions for a full-fledged rest of foreign participants. Within the framework of the competition, the participants visited the most beautiful sights of our capital, the National Museum of Turkmen carpet, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, as well as the complex of historical and cultural monuments of the capital, as well as visited shopping -entertainment centers. The guests will have a pleasant experience after the excursion.
As a result, the participants of the individual stage of the international competition won 21 gold, 36 silver and 46 bronze medals. Among them, students of the national school of Turkmen diplomacy won 3 gold and 8 silver medals. Also, at the group stage of the international competition, 3 teams won gold medals, 5 teams won silver medals, and 8 teams won bronze medals. It is worth noting that at the group stage two teams, composed of students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, won gold medals.
The sponsors of this international contest were the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli, the Democratic Party, the Professional Union, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, economic societies such as «Aýdyň gijeler», «Turkmen Forum», «Saraýan», «Muhammet Balkan», joint venture «Agzybirlik tilsimaty», public corporation «Abadan haly», private enterprises such as «Awtoýoly», «Täç Hil», «Ak menzil», «Röwşen», «Bir kuwwat», «Altyn tug», «Kämil ussat», «Erkin gurluşyk», «Mary travel», education center and economic society «Halkara audit», studios such as «Ýedi dogan», «Bürgüt», «Düwmejik», «Ada production».
The awarding of the winners and the closing ceremony created a unique festive atmosphere. The organizers solemnly presented diplomas, medals and valuable gifts to students and masters who won the individual and team stages of the international competition. The winners expressed sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the esteemed President, who creates excellent opportunities for the development of international youth cooperation. The inspiration of the winners, combined with the music performed by the artists, inspired the ceremony participants. The principles of friendship, goodness and peace between peoples were expressed in music in different languages.
It is necessary to emphasize the fact that this international competition was held in our country for the first time due to the need to study strategic issues of international relations, deepen students’ knowledge in solving tactical problems, reveal their abilities in research activities, as well as widely spread the promotion of the principles of global peace, establish close cooperative relationships with foreign experts. Also, this international competition, which gathered contestants from several countries, increased the importance of scientific and educational ties and, undoubtedly, will contribute to the inculcation of the principles of cooperation in peaceful efforts to strengthen trust and mutual dialogue in the Resolution "2025 - Year of International Peace and Trust" initiated by Turkmenistan at the 78th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
