Competition was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Human rights play a major role on ensuring a strategy for sustainable political, economic, social and cultural development of Turkmenistan. As historical experience shows, the development of society along the path of progress and freedom is inextricably linked with the expansion of human rights and the enrichment of their content. Each new stage of social development is associated with the observance and enhancement of human rights. Human rights and freedoms are one of the basic principles for assessing to the perfection of statehood, its democratic level, legal support, and commitment to universal human values.
Based on this, on December 8, 2023, a competition was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan among the faculties of International Law, International Relations, International Economic Relations and International Journalism.
The competition consisted of 3 conditions, under which students completely revealed their knowledge and skills in human rights. Representatives of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Ashgabat Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly participated as judges in this competition and they judged faily. According to the results of the competition, the Faculty of International Relations got the first place. Based on the results of the competition, students were awarded certificates and souvenirs.
