Exemplary efforts of Turkmenistan in practical implementation of Sustainable Development Goals
Strategic partnership for the sake of global peace, progress and prosperity - this fundamental principle of the policy of positive neutrality pursued by our highly esteemed President is essential for world development today. Our Fatherland is making a significant contribution to the creation of new formats of relations that are in line with the spirit of the times and global development trends in the 21st century. Turkmenistan pursues foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality, peace-loving, open doors, good neighbourliness and equal beneficial cooperation with all interested foreign partners. Demonstrating a responsible and proactive approach to issues regional and international cooperation, our country contributes an effective contribution to the consolidation of efforts to develop solutions to relevant tasks of the present. In this regard, particular importance is attached to multi-vector cooperation with the United Nations.
The creative principles of the foreign policy of our Motherland have been embodied in Priority positions of Turkmenistan at the 78th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, which include new initiatives of our Fatherland aimed at further strengthening and expanding fruitful dialogue and cooperation on key areas of global development.
As is known, our country is the author of important peacekeeping initiatives enshrined in United Nations General Assembly Resolutions, including proclamation of the current year 2023 as the International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace.
Our country underlines essential role of the United Nations, its political and diplomatic tools and high authority in order to reach constructive solutions and ensure universal and comprehensive development, including achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. At the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations opening in New York in September Turkmenistan under the Leadership of our highly respected President will set globally important initiatives directed at global security and development.
Therefore, successfully implementing constructive foreign policy, our country makes significant input to the provision of peace and progress and achievement of global Sustainable Development Goals.
