Youth Initiatives as the Basis for Further Strengthening Turkmen-Tajik Friendship.
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, guided by their strategic objectives and program documents, continue to strengthen cooperation and maintain positive and steady dynamics of interaction in all priority areas of bilateral relations. Founded on the principles of equality, mutual support and solidarity, the partnership between the two countries serves as a vivid example of effective and strategic interstate cooperation.
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan have actively expanded their strategic partnership by leveraging youth engagement and cultural-humanitarian initiatives. The views and priorities of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are closely aligned, creating a strong basis for strengthening joint efforts aimed at advancing peace, sustainable development, and the well-being of the peoples of Central Asia.
Turkmenistan regards the 80th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly as an important stage in international efforts to strengthen peace and stability. Consistently pursuing the course of strengthening international peace and security, Turkmenistan will continue to advance its initiatives within the framework of the United Nations. Turkmenistan considers humanitarian cooperation as an important element in strengthening trust and mutual understanding between peoples. Our country always supports projects that promote the development of human potential, intercultural dialogue and the advancement of human rights and youth initiatives as a creative force and strategic resource of the state, in implementing foreign policy and protecting national interests and contributing to sustainable development and building peace.
Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to the role of youth as a vital force for peace, cooperation and sustainable progress. We recognize that the youth have the potential to serve as strong advocates of a culture based on peace, mutual understanding and trust. In this context, Turkmenistan actively supports the Central Asian Youth Dialogue and has put forward the initiative to establish a Regional Platform for Youth Peacebuilding under the auspices of the United Nations in Ashgabat. Our country will expand the Youth Dialogue of Central Asia under the global agenda “Youth, Peace and Security”, ensuring meaningful youth participation in decision-making and peacebuilding.
Turkmenistan remains firmly committed to the principles of permanent neutrality, peaceful dialogue and constructive international cooperation. In today’s interconnected world, strengthening trust among nations requires a shared commitment to dialogue, mutual respect and collaboration. The successfully implemented youth policy of Turkmenistan is aimed at further expanding opportunities and creating the most favorable conditions for personal development and enhancing the potential of young Turkmen citizens.
Today’s Youth Dialogue represents an important opportunity to empower young people as active contributors to peace, cooperation and sustainable development. Moreover, the Youth Dialogue, held on October 24, 2025, at the National Library of Dushanbe, served as a significant platform for youth engagement and dialogue. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the UN Permanent Mission to Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Committee on Youth and Sports of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The active engagement of young people can serve as a powerful bridge between societies and generations. It also serves to widely promote the principles of global peace, establish close cooperation with foreign specialists in the field, and further develop international youth collaboration. Guided by the vision and principles of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag and our Honorable President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmenistan’s youth policy is encouraged to uphold the values of diplomacy, knowledge, dialogue and responsibility. We, the youth, stand ready to actively contribute to our country’s efforts to promote peace, strengthen trust, foster mutual understanding and advance a culture of cooperation among nations.
