TURKMENISTAN AND IRAN EXPAND HORIZONS FOR ACADEMIC AND SCIENTIFIC PARTNERSHIP
On March 31, 2026 the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting between the Rector of the Institute G. Yusupova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani.
The meeting was held as part of the implementation of previously agreed-upon plans for March and April 2026, aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education. During the discussion, it was emphasized that educational diplomacy plays a pivotal role in the strategy of good-neighborliness and mutual understanding. The Rector of the Institute G. Yusupova briefed the Ambassador on the achievements of the Institute and ongoing efforts to modernize the educational process through digitalization.
His Excellency, Ambassador Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani expressed a keen interest in strengthening direct contacts between specialized universities, discussing the prospects for cooperation in research and academic fields as a powerful catalyst for the further development of Turkmen-Iranian relations.
In conclusion, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the established framework of cooperation, and agreed to implement all necessary organizational measures to ensure the high-standard quality implementation of the planned initiatives.
