SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WAS HELD
On November 28, 2025, a scientific conference entitled “Methods for Improving National Education through the Application of Advanced Foreign Language Teaching Methods” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This event was conducted in accordance with the requirements of the “Procedure for Holding Scientific Events in Institutions of Higher Professional Education”, which was approved by the joint order № 15/56 of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan dated February 24, 2024.
The conference was attended by the faculty members of the Department of World Languages, as well as Joshua Tilton, a volunteer instructor from the US Embassy in Turkmenistan currently working at the Institute. Mr. Tilton opened the conference with a welcome address, wishing success in the work, and presented a report on the topic “Active Methods of Foreign Language Teaching and Ways to Implement Them into the National Education System”.
Reports by Chemen Bayriyeva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of World Languages, on “Topical Issues of English Language Teaching and the Development of National Education”, and by Annamyrat Jumayev, Lecturer at the same department, on “Current Directions for Developing Oral Speech” were also presented at the conference.
The presentations concluded with an interactive Q&A session, which evolved into a fruitful exchange of views. Participants were able to deepen their understanding of the topics discussed and develop unified approaches to solving the most pressing professional tasks.
The scientific and practical conference will provide a powerful impetus to the development of teaching skills. It will contribute to the enhancement of their professional experience and serve as an effective platform for the exchange of best practices, which will ultimately directly affect the improvement of teaching quality through the use of the most modern methodologies.
