A LECTURE BY THE AMBASSADOR OF THE EUROPEAN UNION TO TURKMENISTAN WAS HELD
On November 12, 2025, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a lecture "Understanding the European Union: Institutions, Politics and Global Vision" by the Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan, Ms. Beata Peksy, from the lecture series "Europe and Central Asia: Common Values, common Future", which was attended by the Faculty members and students of our institute.
During the lecture, Ms. Beata Peksa told the audience in detail about the EU's foreign policy, its structure and features of interaction with the Union, priority areas of activity and ongoing projects covering various industries. In addition, they discussed in detail the bilateral and multilateral negotiations, as well as the EU's relations with Central Asian countries.
The active dynamics of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, which is developing both on a bilateral basis and in the Central Asia–European Union format, was highlighted. Turkmenistan has successfully implemented technical projects of the European Union in the fields of science and education, ecology, improvement of legislation, energy, as well as in a number of other priority areas.
At the end of the meeting, the participants asked the guest a number of questions of interest to them, receiving reasoned answers that contribute to a deeper understanding of the topics discussed.
