STUDENT EARNS WINNING PLACE IN ESSAY CONTEST ORGANIZED BY «YOUNG NATURALIST» NGO
On October 12, 2026, during the year «Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses» and guided by the youth policy and initiatives of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the «Young Naturalist» public organization, together with the Ozone Center under the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, organized an essay contest entitled «Why Is Protecting the Ozone Layer Important?» to mark the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.
The competition was held among students of the country’s higher educational institutions as well as 10th–12th-grade secondary school students. The primary objective of the contest was to foster environmental awareness among young generation, deepen their understanding of the significance of the ozone layer, and promote the conservation of natural resources.
Under the guidance of S. Nepesova, lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, students of the institute Myrat Maksadov and Elmira Gylyjowa actively participated in the contest and successfully presented their speech.
Such accomplishments further reinforce the younger generation’s sense of duty and responsibility toward their Homeland, nature, and society.
