« ECOLOGICAL METHODS OF HYDROCARBON EXTRACTION » – SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE
On June 15, 2023, at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev was held an international scientific-practical conference entitled "Ecological methods of hydrocarbon extraction". Heads of higher educational institutions and representatives of large corporations in our country attended to this conference. The professors and the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participated in the conference through online video communication.
The scientific-practical conference consisted of a sub plenary session and 3 sections. The sub plenary session called "Energy Perspectives and New Technologies for Development of Hydrocarbon Deposits" and it was led by Dmitry Shlapochenko, Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Turkmenistan. The first session of the scientific-practical conference was called "New technologies and energy transition: a future perspective", the second session was called "Emission reduction and monetization in the production of hydrocarbons" and the third session was called "New opportunities for environmental financing and initiatives in advancing clean energy projects".
Speakers of the scientific-practical conference noted the importance of energy cooperation among our country and the abroad. In the speeches, special emphasis was placed on the position of Turkmenistan, which is rich in natural resources in the world energy market.
