The bank structure of Arkadag city
Bringing our national economy to the level of the advanced countries of the world, introducing advanced technologies and methods into all sectors of the economy that have shown positive results in the economic development of the countries of the world is the main direction of the economic policy of our esteemed President. This is also mentioned in the “Program of Development of Economic, Financial and Banking Systems of Turkmenistan for 2019-2025”. In accordance with the program, the important tasks of improving the reliability and stability of credit institutions, increasing the fund base of banks, and introducing technical and software necessary for improving the electronic document circulation system in banks are being implemented. As an excellent example for this program, the first part of a new smart city called “Arkadag city” was built and put into use. This city is a great model for other countries in all spheres. On December 25, 2022, by the decision of the Mejlis of the National Council of Turkmenistan, the new, modern administrative center of Ahal velayat was granted the status of a city and named "Arkadag city of Ahal velayat". Every Turkmen heartily rejoiced at this good news, they expressed their sincere applause through the central media and national television and radio stations. In this city, the concept of “smart city” is implemented with the widespread use of “green technologies”, the introduction of digital technologies, intelligent systems. As we mentioned above, the first part of this city was opened on June 29, 2023 with the participation of our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The opening ceremony of the country's first "smart city" was aslo attended by many foreign guests. The creative groups of Turkmenistan performed an inspiring musical and choreographic composition on the square near the Akhan monument. On this occasion, on June 30, the International Investment Forum “Arkadag- the Smart City” began its work at the Markaw Hotel in Arkadag. According to the report, at the first session, issues related to the prospects for sustainable development and new technologies in cities were discussed as well as at the second session, some presentations was also made by Vice President of John Deere for CIS countries, Regional Director of International Sales JCD UK LTD, the head of the company Samo of Tajikistan, and Turkmen investors. The representatives of the companies discussed investment opportunities in Turkmenistan, especially for Arkadag city. The forum also included discussions on the digital infrastructure of smart cities and innovative digital technologies. Within the framework of the international forum, bilateral meetings were held and a number of documents were signed. As it is known the construction is carried out in two stages. A total of 336 modern facilities were built in the first phase of Arkadag city. The urban structure integrates a complex of social and other facilities, such as kindergartens, schools, specialized training schools, health care, culture, trade, service systems, sports facilities, and engineering systems. Among them, 5 office buildings belonging to the banking system were built. The office building of the regional administration of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, the office building of the State Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan "Turkmenistan", the office building of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan "Senagat", the office building of the State Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan "Dayhanbank", the office buildings of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan "Halkbank" . In the city of Arkadag, the advanced practices of national and modern architecture are combined, and the construction of industrial, cultural and life facilities, residential buildings is carried out on the basis of the "smart city" concept.
