The Embodiment of Poetry in Cinematography
On February 29, 2024, a literary evening was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, organized by the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism, which was dedicated to the creative heritage of the great poet and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi.
The event, dedicated to the motto of the year 2024 “Fount of wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”, was attended by a student of the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly Fragi, Mekan Kurdov, as well as teachers and students of the Institute.
Mekan Kurdov, as a guest of the creative evening, in his speech highlighted the fact that the philosophy derived from meaning of the poet’s poems is bought to the consciousness of the young generation through cinema art based on traditions, customs and the way of life of the Turkmen people.
The student and young actor read his poems to the participants of the event. During the informative conversation with the young actor, the students received comprehensive answers to their questions.
