TRAINING ON WATER DIPLOMACY
On October 27, 2022, a lecture was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the topic “Cooperation in the Caspian Sea: Achievements and Opportunities”. The lecture was held by Gulshirin Charyguliyeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Security and Analysis of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of Turkmenistan. The representative of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of Turkmenistan dwelled on the importance and content of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Environment of the Caspian Sea (Tehran Convention), developed and signed in November 2003.
She also noted about the results of the fourth summit of the heads of the Caspian states, held in Astrakhan in 2014, the Agreements “On Cooperation in the Field of Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea”, “On Cooperation in the Field of Prevention and Elimination of Natural Disasters in the Caspian Sea” and “On the Protection of Aquatic Biological Resources of the Caspian Sea”. The lecture was very effective and interesting for the students.
