A training session was held via digital video conferencing
On October 4-5, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ashgabat Center of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) organized the project "Supporting the implementation of the National Action Plan for Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025". A training session was held through digital video communication on media freedom. This seminar was held within the framework of the annual program carried out jointly with the OSCE to improve the professional level of the representatives of the national media in the field of journalism. Along with foreign experts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Institute of State Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of the National Council of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the International University for Humanities and Development, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan Representatives of mass media of the country took part in it.
During the seminar, the speakers noted that the professional development of mass media representatives is particularly important in meeting the requirements of the modern information society. Within the framework of the conference, there were discussions on the wide use of the possibilities of the digital system in informing the society, preventing the spread of fake information, and using reliable sources. The participants of the conference made impressive presentations on ways to improve the professional level of mass media representatives.
