SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE ON THE TOPIC “THE HEROISM OF THE FATHERS - A SCHOOL OF PATRIOTISM”
On May 6, 2025, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized a scientific and practical conference on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, on the topic “The Heroism of the Fathers — A School of Patriotism”. The employees of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, lecturers and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and other higher educational institutions, students and schoolchildren who are active members of the school of “Young Diplomats” attended in the scientific and practical conference.
The head of the department of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, Meretguly Tangiyev, a senior lecturer of the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, candidate of philological sciences Shohrat Diwanguliyev, a lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences Suray Akmuradova, and the first-year student of the Faculty of International Journalism Lachin Tekedurdyeva made speeches at the plenary session of the conference. After the plenary session, the scientific-practical conference continued its work in sections. In the sections titled “The heroism of the Turkmen people is an exemplary school of serving the Motherland”, “Patriotism, courage, and fearlessness are indestructible values”, “The Great Victory achieved through the heroism of our fathers”, “The glory of the Great Victory is a sign of courage and fearlessness”, numerous speeches were heard on the importance and impact of the Great Victory, the principle of patriotism, the sanctity of the Motherland, the importance and impact of peace, security, and economic development in modern times.
In 1941-1945, which went down in world history as a very tragic period, our valiant compatriots, who firmly followed these sacred norms, united with representatives of fraternal nations, showed a high example of courage and patriotism on various battlefields, and earned the respect of generations. Preserving the freedom and independence of the Motherland, the glory of our ancestors entered the history of our people, and the names of our national heroes are immortalized in the memorial books “Memory” and “Glory”.
