CONFERENCE ON PREVENTIVE DIPLOMACY
On December 7, 2022, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a conference entitled “Preventive Diplomacy – an Important Factor of Peace and Stability in the Region”. It was attended by the representatives of the Committee on Regional Development, Environmental Protection and Agro-Industrial Policy of the Halk Maslahaty of the National Council of Turkmenistan, the Legislative Committee of the Mejlis of the National Council of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, as well as the teaching staff and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The speakers at the meeting noted the great importance of the adoption of the Resolution “Role of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia” based on the initiative of Turkmenistan at the 59th session of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly held on April 16, 2021. During the meeting, there was an exchange of questions between the speakers and students.
At the end of the conference, the participants expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero Arkadag for all opportunities created for students.
