The Turkmen Delegation Participated in “Margalla Dialogue 2025” in Islamabad
On November 11-12, 2025, B. Karayev, a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, participated in the International Conference “Margalla Dialogue 2025”, organized by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) of Pakistan.
In his speech, B. Karayev presented the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s regional cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and transport, as well as the country's foreign policy priorities. He underscored Turkmenistan’s unwavering commitment to the principles of positive neutrality and open interaction, and its focus on regional cooperation, with special emphasis on trade and economic partnership and the implementation of large-scale energy and transport projects.
He elaborated on Turkmenistan’s role in strengthening the region’s economic, energy, and transport connectivity, noting the country's growing significance as a reliable partner and the initiator of major international projects being implemented on both bilateral and multilateral bases.
B. Karayev paid particular attention to the Turkmen-Pakistani partnership, highlighting its dynamic development. In this context, he emphasized the consistent work being carried out on the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, as well as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan electricity transmission and fiber-optic communication systems.
