Meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador
On January 23, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Turkmenistan, Christofer Daggan (with residence in Astana) visited Turkmenistan. Within the framework of his visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Turkmenistan, Christofer Daggan met with the students of the Institute of the International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and International University for Humanities and Development. During the meeting, the honorable Ambassador emphasized the importance of developing political-diplomatic and scientific-educational cooperation between Turkmenistan and Canada as well as the distinguished Ambassador shared his interesting life experience of working in a diplomatic mission. During the meeting, a productive exchange of views took place between the students, the faculty, and the ambassador.
As it is know that diplomatic relations between permanent Neutral Turkmenistan and Canada were established in 1992. Since then, Turkmen-Canadian diplomatic relations have been increasingly developed and extended in such areas as politico-diplomatic, socio-economic ties and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Such a meeting help the future diplomats studying at the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy to expand their knowledge in the field of international relations and diplomacy.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their best wishes for the continued cooperation and strengthening of relations in various areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
