A CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE XV INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM «RUSSIA–THE ISLAMIC WORLD: KAZANFORUM 2024»
On May 20, 2024, a conference dedicated to the significance of the working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the 15th International Economic Forum «Russia–the Islamic world: KazanForum 2024» has been held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The main purpose of the Forum is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the regions of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as to promote the development of institutions of the Islamic financial system in the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by leaders and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, professors-teachers and students of the Institute. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, Vice-President of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmen of the World, Executive Director of the Charitable Foundation for assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Rejep Bazarov, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, Acting Chairperson of Committee for International and Interparliamentary communications of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Kerimguly Geldiyev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, Gulmet Penayev, a lecturer of the Banking Department of Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management Arslan Gurbannazarov delivered speeches during the conference.
During the conference speakers pointed out the features of Turkmen-Russian relations, Turkmen-Tatar fraternal relations based on strategic cooperation, trade, economic and educational cooperation of Turkmenistan with the countries of the Islamic world. During the forum the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that Turkmenistan considers this format of cooperation as a unique platform for building long-term partnership with all interested states. In this context, Turkmenistan’s readiness to further promote the joint development of effective forms of interaction was confirmed.
The speakers mentioned, Hero Arkadag's initiatives put forward during the Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum 2024, including proposals to develop an «Islamic Initiative for Peace, Mutual Understanding and Trust».
At the end of the conference, the participants expressed their deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for successful completion of his working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. They wished to Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar good health, long life, further success in your efforts for the benefit of the people.
