Language Week in honor of French and German Languages Day
In order to successfully implementing the «Concept of improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan» approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on December 22, 2017, as well as on the occasion of the French and German Languages Day, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan from April 17 to 20, 2023 a language week was organized by the Department of World Languages of the Institute.
During the week, students organized an exhibition of wall newspapers, textbooks and dictionaries. Students also gave presentations and performed creative readings on the education system, economic development, history, literature and art, and attractions of France and Germany.
During the week, instructional classes of French and German languages teachers of the Department of World Languages were held. Talented contests were held among the Institute's French and German languages learning students, where students competed in word formation, dictation and exchanged questions and answers about the history of those countries.
At the end of the competitions, the students were awarded by the teachers of the Department of the World Languages.
At the end of the week, the participants thanked our Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan for all the opportunities and conditions created for students and young people to learn foreign languages at a high level.
