MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC
On May 24, 2025, a meeting took place at the National School of
Turkmen Diplomacy between Begenc Matliyev, Vice-Rector for
Scientific Affairs of the Institute of International Relations of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Jean-Noël Castorio,
Vice-President of the University of Le Havre of the French Republic, and
Pierre Barthélemy, Director of International Relations. The meeting was
also attended by the Director of the French Institute at the Embassy of the
French Republic in Turkmenistan, a representative of the Ministry of
Education of Turkmenistan, and faculty members of our institute.
During the meeting, priority areas for bilateral cooperation between
Turkmenistan and the French Republic were discussed in detail. Special
attention was paid to strengthening ties in the fields of science and
education as key areas of interaction.
Jean-Noël Castorio confirmed his readiness to consider initiatives
aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, exchanging best practices, and
implementing the Erasmus+ program between the Institute of
International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Turkmenistan and the University of Le Havre.
In his speech, Pierre Barthélemy elaborated on the universities,
partners, and sponsors with whom the University of Le Havre cooperates.
Following the discussion, guests were presented with an exhibition
at the “History of Turkmen Diplomacy” museum, vividly illustrating both
the history and modern directions of Turkmen diplomacy.
