Competition in reciting in foreign languages “Mother - the beauty of the universe”
On March 4, 2021, the Scientific Club “Lingvo World” of the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a competition of reciters in foreign languages entitled “Mother – the beauty of the universe”, devoted to the International Women’s Day. The competition was attended by the students of the Faculties of International Law, International Economic Relations and International Journalism. The contestants made presentations, played dramas, recited poems and sang songs in English, German, French and Chinese.
Amanbagt Ussayeva, student of the 102nd group of the Faculty of International Law made a presentation in English about the history of the creation of International Women’s Day, spoke about mimosa flower as a symbol of this holiday, as well as about famous Turkmen and American women politicians, lawyers, diplomats, poetesses, actresses. She, with the participants of the event, discussed about the role of the mother in human life. Shakhnoza Eminova, student of the 302nd group of the Faculty of International Law rendered her love for mothers by reciting a poem in German. Students of the 303rd group of the Faculty of International Economic Relations Diyar Lomanov and Merdan Bayjanov performed in French an excerpt from the legend about the dialogue of an unborn baby with the Almighty from the book of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Worshipping mother – worshipping a sacred person”. Student Merdan Bayjanov translated the notions “International Women’s Day” and “Paradise is under the feet of your mothers” into all foreign languages taught at the Institute. Sona Khalykova, student of the 304th group of the Faculty of International Journalism made a presentation in Chinese on the celebration of Mothers’ Day in the People’s Republic of China. Student Diyar Lomanov congratulated all mothers with a poem in French, student of the 104th group of the Faculty of International Journalism Bagul Merdanova praised women by singing a song in Chinese.
The jury members noted the significance of this event in educating, developing and upbringing young generation, thanked the students for their performances, wished them success in their studies and congratulated dear mothers, girls on the International Women’s Day, widely celebrated in 2021, declared at the initiative of esteemed President “Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust”.
