A DISCUSSION DEDICATED TO THE UNITED NATIONS REGIONAL CENTRE FOR PREVENTIVE DIPLOMACY FOR CENTRAL ASIA WAS HELD
On November 6, 2025, a discussion titled “Ashgabat — the Capital of the Regional Centre” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the Resolution “The Role of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia”.
Rahym Akmuradov, a lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, conducted the discussion. The students of the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan under the direction of “Preventive Diplomacy” participated in it.
During the discussion, the lecturer provided detailed information on the objectives behind the establishment of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), as well as its role in strengthening peace, stability, and mutual trust in the region. The significance of the UN General Assembly Resolution “The Role of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia” was also explained, emphasizing its legal foundations and contribution to the development of regional cooperation and conflict prevention.
At the end of the meeting, students addressed their questions and exchanged views with the lecturer.
