ALBUQUERQUE
Albuquerque abbreviated ABQ, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Mexico and it is the center of Bernalillo Country. Albuquerque is an oasis in the high desert, full of rich history and inspiring ideas. Albuquerque is a hub for technology and media companies, historic landmarks, and the fine arts. The city is home to the University of New Mexico, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Gathering of Nations, the New Mexico State Fair, and a diverse restaurant scene, which features both New Mexican and international cuisine. Albuquerque is a dream destination for lovers of good food, culture and exciting activities. It has enjoyable mild, sunny climate round the year and there is the great State metropolitan center, boasting entertainment options, shopping and more. Discover one of the city’s many museums or spend an afternoon at the ABQ BioPark, which includes a zoo, aquarium, botanic garden and fishing lakes. The best universities, institutes and colleges of Albuquerque, New Mexico are the University of New Mexico, Carrington College, New Mexico Highlands University, Tamarind Institute, Brookline College – Albuquerque, Brown Mackie College, Apollo College. On July 25, 1990, Mayor Louis Saavedra of Albuquerque and Mayor Amangeldi Bayramov of Ashgabat signed the Sister Cities Protocol. So far Ashgabat and Albuquerque are into relations to promote information technology development, connections between U.S. and Turkmen businesses, and the protection of both cities environmental and cultural values. On July 29, 2020- the cities of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the United States celebrated 30 years of mutually beneficial partnership as Sister Cities. Over 30 years these cities represented their historical, cultural, traditional and other mutually beneficial programs. In accordance with this relationship American partners performed their Flamenco dancers, regional artists’ work and our country represented its cultural values including carpet making, jewelry craftworks, horse riding and family customs.
