A training course on the theme of Global Green Growth Institute was held
On March 23, 2023, a training course for students on energy diplomacy was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). The development of energy diplomacy of our country within the framework of the "green growth" program, the development and dissemination of which is simultaneously focused on economic performance and environmental sustainability, is one of the important areas of Turkmen diplomacy.
The Global Green Growth Institute was established on July 20, 2012 at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. Today the institute implements 54 projects in more than 30 countries of the world.
On February 23, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Director General of the Global Green Growth Institute Frank Risberman. As part of strengthening an effective international environmental dialogue, the government of Turkmenistan pays great attention to combining the economic interests of the state with the need to maintain an environmental balance at the proper level.
